The Bonzersearch.com gateway is presented to users as a search engine that is stated to be 'global leaders in search engine marketing and Web traffic generation.' as seen on Bonzersearch.com/about. The same 'About' page can be found on Indiasearch-results.com, Boxedsearch.com, Jp-search.co and many others. Computer security researchers found that Bonzersearch.com is registered to the 54.187.241.66 IP address, which is associated with several advertisement-centric search providers. The Bonzersearch.com gateway is part of an extensive network of sites that use ads by Google and Yahoo to generate revenue for an unknown third-party. It is hard to find out who is behind Bonzersearch.com and its many clones because domain privacy protection services are abused by many site owners to hide questionable campaigns and borderline unlawful activity. It appears that Bonzersearch.com is used to push many sponsored content to users who stumble upon the site.
In October 2017, the Bonzersearch.com gateway was reported for browser hijacking and research unveiled that software bundles that are handled with the 'Standard' and 'Express' option might make Bonzersearch.com the default search and new tab page provider. It is possible that PC users may find an app named 'Bonzer Search' in their 'Control Panel' that may be responsible for browser redirects to Bonzersearch.com. Exploring the results page on Bonzersearch.com is safe, but the links in the sponsored links section may lead users to untrusted pages. Given the nature of Bonzersearch.com, many users may prefer alternative search services providers. You might want to remove software related to Bonzersearch.com using help from a reliable security scanner. We have found that Bonzersearch.com has clones available on the following addresses:
- Anzsearch.com[.]au
- Jp-search[.]co
- Search.jambands[.]com
