Bloodhound.VBS.4 is actually a result of a heuristic detection used by Symantec’s Norton anti-virus to identify potential viruses. When Norton finds a file or program with 'virus like' characteristics but cannot identify the actual virus, it will label it with one of the names used by Norton, typically starting with word 'Bloodhound'. Bloodhound.VBS.4 was detected as a probable VBS worm that was created with a worm generation tool. Viruses such as Bloodhound.VBS.4 tend to target and destroy the Master Boot Record and erase certain files from the hard drive.
