Bizrate is a potentially unwanted program, which declares to be able to help computer users to compare product prices when shopping online. However, when Bizrate is installed on a corrupted PC, it starts interrupting the affected web user with annoying pop-up advertisements and notifications that inform the victim about numerous deals and coupons. Bizrate can also access the compromised PC packaged with freeware and shareware applications without the target PC user's authorization. Bizrate traces the victimized computer user's online habits, which results in privacy and security related issues, such as identity theft and other. When downloaded on the attacked PC, Bizrate modifies the compromised Internet browser's settings by embedding its add-on and starts showing pop-up messages which carry sponsored links that take attacked Internet users to relevant advertisement websites.
