Backdoor.Win32.VB.oyu is a backdoor Trojan and variant of the VOlk-botnet. The VOlk-botnet is used in pharming attacks that affect banks in Latin America. Backdoor.Win32.VB.oyu is generated to attack end-users who use some particular services of the Argentinean and Chilean financial institutions. VOlk-botnet supports highly advanced pharming attacks, which reroute web-traffic onto a corrupt website designed by attackers.
