Backdoor.Matsnu Description

Backdoor.Matsnu is a noxious Trojan that opens a back door on the targeted PC system. Backdoor.Matsnu poses as the security program named Trusteer Rapport. Backdoor.Matsnu may propagate to the affected computers via spam emails. Malicious attachment file names cover: 'DHLInternationalShipmentNotification22-Feb-2012.exe', 'ReservationDetails-Booking_Com-16Feb2012.exe' and 'IRS-Penalty-Income-Tax-Warning-Notification-Feb2012.exe'. When executed, Backdoor.Matsnu drops malicious files and copies itself to certain locations. Backdoor.Matsnu can modify the registry by deleting or creating registry keys. Backdoor.Matsnu then opens a back door on the corrupted PC system and connects to the particular web page. Backdoor.Matsnu can take over hard drives, change Internet Explorer browser appearance and delete all files in removable devices. Uninstall Backdoor.Matsnu as early as possible.
