Backdoor:IRC/Zcrew.gen is a backdoor Trojan that circulates as a malevolent Internet Relay Chat (IRC) configuration file that is used to connect to a remote cybercriminal, permitting to obtain full backdoor access and control over the corrupted PC. Backdoor:IRC/Zcrew.gen is installed on the targeted PC by other malware infections, and occurs as an IRC script file in the same folder as the corrupted installed IRC chat program, for instance, mIRC. Backdoor:IRC/Zcrew.gen permits cybercriminals to execute various harmful activities on the compromised PC such as scan for PCs that have vulnerable remote administration programs, steal information about the victimized computer involving the version of Windows installed on the computer system, the name of the network being used, etc., and send stolen information to a remote attacker, for instance, as a 'radmin.txt' file.
