Avp-scanner.org is a malignant website that promotes the rogueware called XP Security Tool 2010. Avp-scanner.org is placed into victims' Host files by sneaky Trojans, causing the victim to be frequently redirected to Avp-scanner.org. Once on Avp-scanner.org, a fake online system scan will be conducted that automatically reports that the system is severely infected with malware. A number of bogus security alerts and pop-up messages will also be displayed and will recommend that the user purchase the "full" version of XP Security Tool 2010 in order to remove all the "detected" threats. Avp-scanner.org is not to be trusted; users should never purchase anything recommended on this website.
