Avg-Online-Scanner.com ScreenshotAVG-Online-Scanner.com is a fake website that is linked to browser hijackers. AVG-Online-Scanner.com loads bogus system scans and returns false malware infections in order to scare victims into believing their computers have been corrupted by numerous malware threats. The website also loads porn photos as compromising material found on a PC. All of these alerts are just scare tactics to make people purchase rogue programs. AVG-Online-Scanner.com also automatically infects vulnerable PCs with other malware infections. I was an avid Avast! user for several years. Then Avast! pushed their “secure browser” onto my PC without my permission. It started messing up sites I frequently visited, so I uninstalled it. But it left so much Chrome fragments behind that I still had problems with using Edge. I had to do a “Fresh Start” to reload Windows 10 to get rid of all the junk left behind by Avast.
