AutoPcBackup Toolbar is a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that is developed and distributed by the notorious company Mindspark. Most products of this firm may offer seemingly nice features that may lack reality. As its name suggests, AutoPcBackup Toolbar is software that should allow you to backup and restore your files. You should keep a copy of your pictures and documents to protect yourself from ransomware attacks and malfunctions of the hard disk. However, the experts recommend using another service for the job but AutoPcBackup Toolbar because this PUP may worsen the performance of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. In addition to the toolbar, you also may notice some advertising materials on a significant part of the sites you visit. These commercial elements may be pop-ups, banners, videos or hyperlinked words that trigger the ad if your mouse cursor hovers over them.
Many users may get annoyed to see so many unrequested ads consistently. The potential distraction and irritation, however, may not be the most severe issue. It may not be a random coincidence if your web clients start freezing or crashing once in a while after the installation of AutoPcBackup Toolbar. The PUP may use some of your system resources for its processes, which may restrict the available resources for the browsers. Not all PC users who may find this toolbar have downloaded it from its official site. Mindspark may include its products in software bundles together with other freeware. The inattentive people may agree to load the PUP unwillingly thanks to this method. Although AutoPcBackup Toolbar is not threatening, it may be hard to remove manually, so you should use a dedicated security application.
