Its only purpose is to leverage a social engineering trick designed to persuade the user to grant push notification permission to it unwittingly.

To achieve this, generates multiple messages that all share the same goal - trick the user into clicking the 'Allow' button. The text of the message boxes differs with some of the possible variants being:

  • 'Click ALLOW to confirm that you are not a robot!'
  • ' wants to show notifications.'

Needless to say, not one of these messages is true, and all users who fall for the scheme will be subjected to a stream of unwanted advertisements. Even closing the browser will not help, as will continue to display advertisements.

The only way to stop this scheme from bothering you is to revoke all of the permissions it was granted. To do so, go to the 'Settings' menu of the affected browser, navigate to the permissions tab, and remove anything that is connected to
