The ArcadeApp Search program is packed as a browser extension that you can find at Chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/arcadeapp-search/eiocplpcecacffckmennjpibggdajmnf. The ArcadeApp Search browser extension is published by Superappbox.com, which is a clone of Bettersearchtools.com, Theappjunkies.com, Medianetnow.com and Goamuze.com. These sites are known to offer ad-supported extensions such as StreamJunkie Search, GoPlay Search, and gamesNet Search that are designed to redirect users to Eanswers.com. The ArcadeApp Search extension is stated to help users search for online games easily. The ArcadeApp Search extension changes your primary search engine in Google Chrome to Play.eanswers.com, but your search results are presented at Search.yahoo.com/yhs/search?hspart=iba&hsimp=yhs-1&type=apds_6211_CHW_EN&p=[KEYWORD], which is a customised version of Yahoo. When you click on the 'Add to Chrome' button on the Chrome Web Store page for ArcadeApp Search the following notification appears:
'Add "ArcadeApp Search"?
It can:
Read and change all your data on the websites you visit.
Show notifications.
Change your search settings to: play.eanswers.com'
You may want to know that the company behind Eanswers.com can use the ArcadeApp Search to track what sites you visit online, how much time you spend on pages, and record your search terms in the Omnibox and Play.eanswers.com. The data is used for behavioral marketing, and the ArcadeApp Search extension can display notifications with links to promotional content in the bottom left corner of your screen. The ArcadeApp Search app performs the same way as the VideoJunkie Search extension from Theappjunkies.com and may add links to Cantstopplaying.com on your new tab page. ArcadeApp Search is deemed a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that might show targeted advertisements on your screen and reroute all your searches to a personalized version of Search.yahoo.com. Web surfers that are not fans of Yahoo and redirect-gateways like Play.eanswers.com may wish to remove the ArcadeApp Search app and restore their default search provider.
