AdvancedMovieFinder

AdvancedMovieFinder is a search tool made for Google Chrome, one that claims that it can help users find videos, movies and more online through the use of a special catalog. Once the extension is installed, the computer users are expected to type in 'video' and then activate the 'Search Video Search' engine. Once the computer users perform the required actions, they are routed to the Google search engine, where corresponding links are found. Even if the computer users don't utilize Google Search as their main search engine, they may notice that the tool redirects all searches through a specific website: http://inasearch[dot]space/srch/?keyword=[KEYWORDS] eventually.

This opens up a possibility of modifying the search results, not to mention that it may show pop-ups, banners, offers and deals and promotional materials that may lower the browsing quality for the affected users. Although the extension is available through the Google Store, it still records information about the browsing habits of its users, as stated in the Privacy Policy, which represents Brocode Ltd. In that way, it may be considered a Potentially Unwanted Program.

AdvancedMovieFinder doesn't do anything drastic, but it doesn't offer much more functionality than a regular Google Search so that computer users may want to remove it from their systems to avoid the collection of information on their browsing habits.
