The Additionalsearch.co.uk site is recognized as an unreliable search service that may be opened in the browser of users infected with a browser hijacker. We have received reports that browser hijacking software may travel with freeware bundles and redirects users to Additionalsearch.co.uk. The Additionalsearch.co.uk page is not a legitimate search engine and functions as a redirect portal to Uk.ask.com, which is the version of Ask.com for users in the United Kingdom. Additionally, Additionalsearch.co.uk may be loaded with commercials that may send users to low-quality online shops where users may be offered to buy premium electronics very cheap. Needless to say, you should not trust suspicious offers on the Additionalsearch.co.uk domain or use this fake search engine for your regular Internet activity.
As stated above, the Additionalsearch.co.uk portal may redirect users to Additionalsearch.co.uk and network analysis revealed that it has clones hosted on the same IP address under the names of ClickChooseCave.co.uk and ReviewAndSave.com. Computer users may have installed the browser hijacker linked to Additionalsearch.co.uk as a shopping enhancer that said they could save money on clothing and electronic devices. Browser hijacking software may run as add-ons, plug-ins, extensions, and Browser Helper Objects, and make unsolicited modifications to the native Internet settings. The Additionalsearch.co.uk browser hijacker might change your homepage and default search provider to ensure there is a constant Web traffic to Additionalsearch.co.uk. That way the owners of the Additionalsearch.co.uk domain may collect affiliate advertisement revenue while users may have difficulties cleaning their browser. Fortunately, you have the choice to use a reliable anti-spyware tool to remove unwanted software and threats.
