The Abu Dhabi Police GHQ Ransomware is a Police Ransomware infection that impersonates a police agency in the United Arab Emirates in order to scam computer users located in that country. Like other Police Ransomware scams, the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ Ransomware makes the victim believe that the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ Ransomware is associated with the law enforcement in order to lure the victim that it is necessary to pay a 'fine' for supposed illegal activities. To do this, the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ Ransomware Trojan displays a message written in Arabic that contains the logos of Abu Dhabi's police force. The Abu Dhabi Police GHQ Ransomware also blocks access to the compromised PC in order to make it seem as if the police has blocked that targeted machine. It is important to remember that the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ Ransomware is not actually associated with any law enforcement. Rather, this threat is one of the components of an ample family of malware that has been responsible for malware attacks throughout the world.
