The CornerSunshine software is promoted as a weather forecast widget for your desktop that you can use without paying a dime. The CornerSunshine software is published as freeware that is supported by advertisements. The CornerSunshine program is developed and managed by Nayun Online Network Technology (Shenzhen) Co.Ltd. that work with advertisers to deliver you their services free of charge. The CornerSunshine widget may integrate into Windows and add an icon to the right end of the Windows taskbar. The icon is dynamically changed by CornerSunshine to provide visual information on the weather. For example, if it is cloudy outside, you will be shown a little cloud in the taskbar. Clicking the icon by CornerSunshine will open a small card with information like temperature, moisture, pressure and forecast for the following four hours. The forecast is provided by Accweather.com, which should not be mistaken with Accuweather.com.
We should note that Accweather.com does not provide any content except for a gray background image and a link to a privacy agreement on Whoisprivacyprotect.com. Users might be provided with resources from third parties instead of Accweather.com while using the CornerSunshine software. As stated above, CornerSunshine is sponsored by advertisers, and you should expect to be redirected to promotional offers from time to time. The card shown by CornerSunshine in the bottom right corner of your screen may include a banner with commercials from affiliates as well. CornerSunshine is deemed as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that links to an empty page and may redirect users to marketing materials. Researchers note that CornerSunshine is created by the same company behind The Desktop Weather, which served the same purpose and was not received well by many users. The CornerSunshine software is known to make modifications to the Registry and run with Windows on boot. Advanced PC users will notice CornerSunshineSvc.exe and CornerSunshine64.exe listed in the MSCONFIG tool and may consider removing the program manually. However, it may be a good idea to use a reliable anti-spyware instrument to uninstall CornerSunshine and delete leftovers safely.
