The Search.myprivacy.zone domain is associated with the MyPrivacy Search Chrome New Tab software, which is a browser extension that may empower your new tab page by loading Search.myprivacy.zone by default. The MyPrivacy Search Chrome New Tab extension is advertised to offer a privacy-centric online experience to users. The MyPrivacy Search Chrome New Tab app is a re-branded version of SearchControl (a.k.a. Search Dimension). Web surfers that seek to install the 'MyPrivacy Search' extension are redirected to chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/search-control/lfalbjnnkidjfoocmmgnejicgbgjpcgh where they are invited to add 'Search Control' to their Internet browser. Both extensions are identical except for their names and associated portals on the Web. The 'MyPrivacy Search' makes the same changes as 'Search Control' and makes your browser load Search.myprivacy.zone and set your primary search aggregator to searchdimension.com. Additionally, the 'MyPrivacy Search' gains the right to read and change all your data on the sites you visit. That includes social media, video sharing platforms and email providers.
PC users that enable the MyPrivacy Search Chrome New Tab are presented with a revamped new tab titled 'My Privacy Zone' and links to Amazon, YouTube, Groupon, Instagram, Gmail, Facebook and Yahoo. The 'MyPrivacy Search' extension is managed by MonetizeAd Ltd., which is a marketing platform that ad publishers use to distributed targeted marketing content to Web surfers. As you can imagine, there is an irony in using the MyPrivacy Search Chrome New Tab to avoid being tracked when advertisers are behind the 'MyPrivacy Search' app. The ads by 'MyPrivacy Search' are provided as sponsored search results and recommended content on a custom-built Yahoo search engine. Users that input keywords on Search.myprivacy.zone and hit the 'Search' button are redirected to the aforementioned Yahoo search. Search.myprivacy.zone is not a real search service but a gateway to pages filled with advertisements. The 'MyPrivacy Search' extension is classified as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that may provide useful links at Search.myprivacy.zone and redirected users to resources at Search.yahoo.com. You may want to remove all data related to the MyPrivacy Search Chrome New Tab with the help of a reliable anti-spyware instrument.
