ImproveSpeedPC is a potentially unwanted program (PUP) that is detected as PUP.ImproveSpeedPC. PUP.ImproveSpeedPC may deploy a high-performance algorithm to its one click scan that quickly identifies missing and inaccurate references within the Windows Registry. ImproveSpeedPC may scan the entire Windows Registry for all invalid or obsolete entries and create a list of errors detected. Computer users may then select to clean selected errors or fix all of them. The main function of the Windows Registry is to store a PC's configuration. Installing and uninstalling an application may clutter the Windows Registry, which may result in poor PC performance, data loss and system crashes. Throughout the setup, PUP.ImproveSpeedPC may generate a start-up registration point in Windows in order to automatically launch when a PC user starts-up the computer system. A scheduled task may be inserted into Windows Task Scheduler in order to launch PUP.ImproveSpeedPC at a variety of scheduled times (the schedule may differ based on the version).
