Aquests correus electrònics solen seguir una fórmula escrita:
- Reclamació d'infecció falsa : el missatge al·lega que el vostre dispositiu s'ha infectat amb programari maliciós que ha recollit les vostres dades sensibles i ha accedit a la vostra càmera web.
- Enregistrament fabricat : t'han dit que t'han enregistrat mentre veies contingut explícit.
- Demanda de Bitcoin : el remitent us dóna 50 hores per pagar 1300 dòlars en Bitcoin o fer front a la humiliació pública.
- Amenaça d'exposició : suposadament, si et negues a pagar o compartir el correu electrònic amb algú, el vídeo inexistent s'enviarà al teu correu electrònic, xarxes socials i contactes de missatgeria.
Tanmateix, cap d'aquestes afirmacions és certa. No s'ha instal·lat cap programari maliciós. No s'ha gravat cap vídeo. Les teves dades privades no t'han robat. Aquestes estafes es basen únicament en la manipulació psicològica.
