The NaviWatcher software is promoted as a stand-alone security layer for active Internet users and can be found on NaviWatcher.info. The site recommends users to install the NaviWatcher app both to manage the children's access to Internet and block attacks on sites visited by employees. Users may install the NaviWatcher application as an optional offer that may be embedded into a freeware package. Security researchers alert that the NaviWatcher application is adware that functions like Web Protector and AdBlaster and may share non-personally identifiable data about you with third parties and show ads. Moreover, the NaviWatcher adware may display pop-up windows that urge users to download and install rogue security programs like A-Secure 2015 and XRJ Antivirus. These rogue apps will not protect users from cyber threats like Los Pollos Hermanos and F0xy, and the ads displayed by NaviWatcher shouldn't be trusted. The NaviWatcher adware might use session cookies and read your browsing history record to display personalized advertisements on banners and ad-boxes. Also, the NaviWatcher adware may use JavaScript and ActionScript3 to insert iFrames load with sponsored content on pages you visit most often. Security researchers note that the NaviWatcher adware may install its files in the hidden ProgramData folder and appear as a browser plug-in in your 'Control Panel.' The NaviWatcher adware may slow down your computer and limit your Internet bandwidth. You should address the NaviWatcher adware by installing a trusted anti-spyware suite to avoid security breaches.
