The DatingSmith application is promoted at Datingsmith.com as the cyber alternative to the clever aunt that can help you find the girl of your dreams. The motto of the DatingSmith application is 'Find your next date from your computer' which may sound appealing to users that have trouble talking with women. Moreover, the DatingSmith application may provide users with articles from Askmen.com, Yourtango.com, and Attractioninstitute.com that should help you overcome your insecurity. Many users may wish to install the DatingSmith application to make their life better and begin a romantic adventure. However, the DatingSmith app is not created with the idea to help people. Security researchers reveal that DatingSmith is an adware that is a modified version of the DatingShot adware. Both programs are developed and supported by Ions Media Ltd., which makes money from advertising and deploying promotional materials.
The DatingSmith adware may read information like your Internet history and bookmarks and detect your approximate geographical location to load personalized marketing content on your desktop. The ads by DatingSmith may include coupons, vouchers, and discounts to cosmetics and clothing. The DatingSmith adware may load promotions via pop-up windows whenever you open your browser and welcome users to provide statistics like their age, gender, political views and religion. The DatingSmith adware may close your Internet browser abruptly and install third-party software like MaxDownload and 24×7 Help. The DatingSmith adware is built with the INNO Setup Builder and may affect all modern browsers through the use of an extensive infrastructure of CRX, DLL, BHO and XPI files. The DatingSmith adware may connect to remote servers via unencrypted channels and expose yours to man-in-the-middle attacks. Therefore, you should delete the DatingSmith adware with a credible anti-spyware tool sooner rather than later.
