The Z-Zip software by ElementSoft is similar to 7-Zip Packages and is created to benefit from the credibility of the 7-Zip file archiver. Apart from the fact that the name Z-Zip graphically resembles 7-Zip, the Z-Zip application may not perform as well as its rival when dealing with 7z, TAR, RAR, CAB, RPM and other archive file formats. The Z-Zip application may allow you to specify an order of files for decompression and archiving, but tests suggest that its speed may be below average. The Z-Zip binary is deployed under the Freeware License and may land on your system bundled with other free program installers. Computer users that installed the Z-Zip application may want to know that its development is supported by advertisers to ensure its services are offered to users cost-free. The Z-Zip application may provide users with a program window that can manage several compression and decompression tasks simultaneously, but Z-Zip also may appear in your Internet browser as an extension. The Z-Zip application may attach an extension to your browser to manage archives you accessed on the Web and show advertisements. The Z-Zip application may show banners, pop-up and pop-under windows on pages you visit to center your attention on sponsored content and claim affiliate marketing revenue. Moreover, the Z-Zip application may not allow you to work with ZIP, ARJ, DEB and NSIS archive file formats until you pay for an upgrade. The Z-Zip application is classified as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that you might want to remove and seek alternatives to. A reputable anti-malware utility can delete all residual files of the Z-Zip application and restore your optimal registry settings.
