The TOPFlix software is offered to users that want to access geo-restricted content and want to stay anonymous online. The TOPFlix software is promoted as an unorthodox VPN solution that is lightweight and relies on a short snippet of code to deliver you to the content you desire safely and without leaving traces on your PC. You may be interested in installing the TOPFlix software, but you should reconsider. Security researchers alert that the TOPFlix program is an adware that might change your DNS and proxy settings to reroute your Internet traffic and generate customized advertisements. Additionally, the TOPFlix adware may act as a Web filter that might block the native ads on trusted e-commerce portals and display offers with insecure content. The ads by TOPFlix may be indistinguishable due to the implementation of JavaScrip and ActionScript.
The functionality of the TOPFlix adware is similar to AdVPN and GetPrivate and may use tracking cookies and DOM storage data to position its promotions better. Computer users that are infected with the TOPFlix adware report that it may show scrollable banners on your favorite pages, which will be labeled 'Brought by TOPFlix.' Additionally, the TOPFlix adware may invite users to install programs such as Mr PC Cleaner and MyStart Search Protection to improve their privacy controls. Security researchers do not advise users to install programs that are promoted by the TOPFlix adware to avoid compromising their cyber defenses. The TOPFlix adware is not digitally signed, and its connections to the Internet are not encrypted which may expose users to Man-in-the-Middle attacks. The TOPFlix adware may have installed its executable in the hidden AppData folder to evade security scans and raise alarms. You should use a trusted anti-malware utility to delete all files associated with the TOPFlix adware effortlessly.
