The Rapid Downloader that may be offered on Speed-ez-win.com and free software packages as a download manager is considered a Potentially Unwanted Program. Security investigators report that the application is a modified version of the Download Boss software and offers the same functionality. However, the Rapid Downloader application may change your default search engine, homepage, and new tab settings to Searchnewtab.com that is deemed as a low-quality search engine. You should note that Rapid Downloader may want to open files you download from the Internet and ask you to install riskware like ZipperFile and BR Media Player to extend its capabilities. Advertisers support the development of the Rapid Downloader application, and you should not be surprised to see coupons, discounts, and other promotional materials when you shop on Amazon, eBay and Best Buy.
Security investigators note that most of the code of Rapid Downloader is taken from open source projects that may not be deemed as secure as proprietary software.
