Memory Scan Description

Memory Scan is another rogue application from the same family as Good Memory and Memory Optimizer. This rogue system optimizer can surreptitiously enter a system via Trojans, malicious websites or infected internet downloads. On infecting a system, MemoryScan will produce security alerts and scanners claiming to detect several computer errors in the hard drive and memory. The claims are fabricated and users should not believe them. Users that are convinced by these fake alerts are prompted to pay for the full version of Memory Scan in order to repair all the detected errors.   • HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run “[random]”
