EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are updated regularly based on our research data and metrics and are useful for a wide range of computer users, from end users seeking solutions to remove malware from their systems to security experts analyzing threats.

The BrowserSafer browser tool is advertised as an intelligent program that will not interfere with your installed AV product to boost your security. The BrowserSafer program is supposed to block unsafe websites by using a regularly updated web filter and help you recognize phishing pages. Another selling point of the BrowserSafer program is that it does not require users to configure it allegedly, leading security experts maintain its services. However, security researchers report that the BrowserSafer program is supported by advertisers that might buy their way into your browser and use BrowserSafer to provide you with promotional materials. That is why the BrowserSafer program is deemed as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that may obstruct your browsing activities. Moreover, the BrowserSafer program may send information like your IP address, OS version, bookmarks, and browsing history to advertisers for marketing development purposes. The BrowserSafer program may block the native ads on eBay, Walmart, and Amazon to ensure that users are presented with commercials from validated partners. The BrowserSafer application functions similarly to CloudGuard and 24/7 PC Guard and might cause your browser to crash and urge you to install additional third-party software like SySaver. Computer users that value OS stability and speedy performance might want to use a trustworthy anti-spyware tool to remove all components of the BrowserSafer program safely.
