Bizcoaching has caught the attention of PC security researchers because this advertisement platform is often used by certain types of adware and browser hijackers. These types of malware infections or Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUPs) have been known to cause pop-up advertisement from the Bizcoaching domain (Bizcoaching.info). Bizcoaching can appear on any infected Web browser, but typically affect computer systems running a Windows operating system and one of the three most popular Web browsers on the market (Microsoft's Internet Explorer, Mozilla's Firefox or Google's Chrome).

Bizcoaching and Its Related Pop-up Windows and Advertisements

Typically, Bizcoaching advertisements appear when the victim is carrying out a search on a search engine or when a browser hijacker redirects the victim's online activity. Bizcoaching has been connected with several malware threats, including Tracur, the Sirefef or ZeroAccess family of rootkits, and Pihar, as well as many other PUPs and adware infections. The main purpose of malware infections associated with Bizcoaching is to use Bizcoaching to generate revenue. It isn't enough for criminals to install their malware on the victim's computer; they need to a find a way to make money from doing so. Bizcoaching advertisements allow them to do this, using the malware infection to generate Web traffic for a particular domain, leading to advertisement revenue and money from affiliate marketing. Because of this connection to malware, Bizcoaching has come under scrutiny due to its role in helping malware developers stay afloat.

Malware associated with these types of pop-up advertisements tends to be distributed in a variety o ways. Malware associated with Bizcoaching is often installed through drive-by-downloads, which occur after the victim is forced to visit an attack website containing an exploit kit which takes advantage of vulnerabilities in the victim's computer. These kinds of malware infections may also be distributed by disguising them as legitimate files or popular downloads on Torrent or file sharing networks. Once the malware infection is installed, it connects to the Bizcoaching platform to load advertisements, which are then delivered to the victim. To stop the appearance of Bizcoaching pop-up advertisements, it is first necessary to remove the underlying malware infection that is using the Bizcoaching platform in its attacks.
