The BestBackground Toolbar claims to allow users to search their family ancestry, build a family tree for free and enhance their new tab page. The BestBackground Toolbar can be downloaded from its official page at BestBackground.com or be installed along with free program installers. The BestBackground Toolbar is developed by Mindspark Interactive Network, Inc. that created the Productivity Boss Toolbar and the WebmailWorld Toolbar. Both of the aforementioned applications fall into the category of badware, may hijack your browser and show numerous advertisements. Therefore, you should not be surprised that the BestBackground Toolbar is perceived as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that may not fulfill your needs and decrease your browser performance.
The BestBackground Toolbar is supported by advertisements that may take the form of full-page ads, pop-ups and banners. The nature of the ads may be determined by your recent Internet activities because the BestBackground Toolbar software may use session cookies and DOM storage data to improve its behavioral marketing. Moreover, the BestBackground Toolbar may change your default search aggregator to Ask.com and enable its automatic updates that could include third-party software like FriedCookie and LiMo. Users may not benefit from the BestBackground Toolbar as much as its advertisers will from the ads displayed in your browser. You should not forget that the ads powered by the BestBackground Toolbar may link to potentially compromised websites. PC users may want to remove all files related t the BestBackground toolbar by using a reliable anti-spyware instrument.
