Advertisements that feature the slogan 'Powered by Albireo' are associated with an adware-powered application that may appear on your PC bundled with a free application installer. The Albireo adware is known to have versions that may affect browsers based on the Chromium project and the Mozilla project, which include Mozilla Firefox, Palemoon, Google Chrome, SRWare Iron and Yandex browser. The Albireo adware may use custom CSS-styles and ActionScript to inject interactive advertisements into the pages you browse. The Albireo adware may show pop-up windows, banners, and floating ad-boxes that may be loaded with insecure content. The ads by Albireo may not be safe, and redirect users to untrusted online stores that are not likely to protect your credit card data properly. The Albireo adware is similar to the Winload Toolbar and the CoupSeek adware and may close your browser to make modifications to your Internet settings and reroute your Web traffic to sponsored content.
Additionally, the Albireo adware may edit the configuration settings of the Internet client to enable its operation even when the user is surfing the Internet in Incognito Mode/InPrivate Browsing.
