Adware.Maucampo is adware and a potentially unwanted Web browser plug-in designed by Yontoo Technology that may cover a screen of a computer with a variety of pop-up and banner advertisements and alter the default Web browser search and start page settings. Adware.Maucampo may track a computer user's web habits and may embed and deliver random ads or the ones pertaining to the PC user's Web browsing routine. When installed, Adware.Maucampo may add a Windows Service which is generated to run constantly in the system background. If the service is stopped manually, this may prevent the application to operate appropriately. Adware.Maucampo may add a background controller service that is set to automatically execute on the computer system. To delay the start of this service is possible through the service manager. Adware.Maucampo may embed a Browser Helper Object (BHO) into Internet Explorer.
