DarkKomet RansomwareDarkKomet Ransomware is one of the many variants of the HiddenTear family of ransomware, which has been around since August of 2015 when it was released for 'educational purposes.' The DarkKomet Ransomware's name seems to reference the infamous DarkComet Trojan, which is used by con artists to take over a computer from a remote location. Read more |

OkrumThe Ke3chang hacker group has made a comeback. The APT15 group has updated several of their most prominent hacking tools – RoyalDNS, Okrum, and Ketrican. Okrum, a particular type of a backdoor trojan, can encrypt its network traffic and thus prevent researchers from seeing what data is exfiltrated potentially causing serious issues for infected systems.
