Is MeddleMonkey Safe?

MeddleMokey is a browser plug-in for popular Web browsers, such as Chrome, Opera and Safari. It allows users to run and manage what is known as user scripts. These are small programs that can perform various actions on websites, such as changing the page layout, adding or removing functionality and content, automating certain activities and more.

Certain user scripts available through MeddleMonkey could allow users to download copyrighted media content. While available on the official Play Store initially, Google later removed MeddleMonkey. On the App Store, MeddleMoneky appears to still be available.

The extensions may generate unwanted advertisements or cause redirects to suspicious or shady websites. It also may collect various information from the visited websites but, according to its statement, the acquired data is not personally identifiable and cannot be linked to the user.

Ultimately, it is up to the individual user to decide whether the benefits offered by extensions such as MeddleMonkey outweigh the possible risks.
