How to Uninstall Kindle

Amazon Kindle is a popular app that allows book lovers to read their favorite literary works available from the Kindle library on their PC or Mac computer. If you no longer have a need for the Kindle app and wish to free up some space by removing it completely, follow the steps outlined below.

After that open your Applications folder, find Kindle, and move it to Trash. Empty the Trash to uninstall the app but keep in mind that certain residual or service files might still be left on the system. To get rid of them manually, open Finder, select the Go menu, and open 'Go to Folder…' In the new window, type ~/Library and click on 'Go.' Check the following directories and remove any files associated with the Kindle app:

~/Library/Application Support
~/Library/Containers
~/Library/Caches
~/Library/Preferences
~/Library/Saved Application State
~/private/var/db/receipts
~/private/var/folders/I8

When you are done, do not forget to empty the Trash once more.

For the removal process to proceed smoothly on a Windows system, users must make sure that they have administrative rights and that the Kindle for PC app is not currently running. If both requirements are met, you can uninstall the app with any of the normal methods. One of the fastest is to through Control panel. Type control panel in the Search box on the taskbar and open the top result. Select either 'Uninstal a program' directly or go through 'Programs' followed by 'Programs and Features.' Locate Kindle for PC among the list of installed programs, right-click it, and choose 'Uninstall.' When the uninstallation process has completed, you may need to restart your PC.

The last step is to delete any remaining files. Type regedit in the Search box on the Taskbar and press Enter to open Registry Editor. Navigate through the folders in the left pane searching for these two:
