How to Uninstall GoToMeeting
Participating in several video conferences per day has become the norm for many due to the restrictions imposed in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Users can choose from multiple different platforms and desktop clients that offer similar functionality. Some services even offer download-free and browser-based options. As a result, depending on their personal preference, users might no longer require a dedicated client installed on their computers. Those who wish to uninstall the GoToMeeting application can follow the recommended instructions listed below.
To uninstall GoToMeeting from a Mac system, users will first have open Finder from the Dock and then access their 'applications folder.' Locate GoToMeeting and drag it to the Trash. Empty the Trash to uninstall the application. In some cases, however, residual files may still be present on the system. Open Finder once again but this time press and hold the Options button on your keyboard. Click Library. Go to 'application Support' and then 'LogMeInInc.' Locate and delete the 'GoToMeeting' directory.
For Windows users, the uninstallation process begins with typing control panel in the search box on the taskbar. Open the top result. Now, click on 'Uninstall a program' directly or go to 'Programs' and then 'Programs and Features.' Locate the entry for the GoToMeeting desktop application, select it, right-click it, and choose 'Uninstall.' Do the same for the GoTo Opener application. All that is left to completely remove GoToMeeting is to open the following location - C:\Users\<windows username>\AppData\Local\, and then delete the GoToMeeting directory.
