How To Uninstall Garmin Express

Garmin Express is a desktop application designed to help users maintain and update their Garmin devices. It also is used to set up the user's device properly, but, if you no longer require the desktop client and wish to remove it completely, follow the guidelines outlined below. 

The Garmin Express application itself can be removed as any other application - find its file named 'Garmin Express.app' in the Applications folder and drag it to the Trash. The application will be uninstalled but its components on the Mac will not have been removed completely. Applications create numerous service or support files that are left behind after even uninstallation. Users will have to deal with them manually by going to the hidden Library folder and moving each file to the Trash. 

Deleting the Garmin Express Service Files

1. The first step is to reach the Library folder. Open Finder, select the Go menu and click on 'Go to Folder.' A new window will open. Type ~/Library and click on 'Go.' 
2. Once inside the Library folder, navigate to the following subfolders and delete the files associated with Garmin Express. Look inside:

~/Library/Application Support

~/Library/Caches

~/Library/Preferences

~/Library/Saved Application State

3. The last step is to empty the Trash. Garmin Express should now be gone from your Mac computer completely.
