How to Uninstall Dashlane

Dashlane is a popular password manager and digital wallet application. Users can take advantage of a free tier of the program or update to a premium tier by paying a subscription. If you no longer require the services of Dashlane and wish to remove the app from your system, follow the guides below.

To uninstall Dashlane on a Mac, start by opening Finder and going to your Applications folder. Locate the file for Dashlane and move it to the Trash. Empty the Trash to uninstall the program. Unfortunately, some residual files may still be present on your computer system. To delete them, users will have to navigate to the Library folder. Open Finder once again but this time select the 'Go' menu. Choose 'Go to Folder...' from the available options. In the new window, type ~/Library and click 'Go.' Navigate to the following locations and delete all files associated with Dashlane:

  • ~/Library/Application Support>
  • ~/Library/Caches
  • ~/Library/Preferences

Do not forget to empty the Trash once more.

On Windows systems, there are multiple methods for uninstalling Dashlane. One of the fastest is through Control Panel. Type control panel in the Search box on the Taskbar. Open the top result and in the new window, click on 'Uninstall a program.' Alternatively, you can open 'Programs' followed by 'Programs and Features.' You will be presented with a list of all apps installed on the system. Locate Dashlane, right-click it, and select Uninstall.' All that is left is to follow the on-screen instructions to finish the uninstallation process.
