How to Uninstall BlueStacks

Mobile gaming has experienced tremendous growth in user base numbers and available titles. It was so much that many players are now looking for ways to play mobile games on their computers through emulation. The BlueStacks App Player is designed to enable Android applications to run on systems regardless if they are using Microsoft Windows or Apple's macOS. What to do when you no longer have a need for the BlueStacks App or you have decided to switch to a different product?

The uninstallation steps for BlueStacks are different for users on Mac and Windows computers. Let’s begin with getting rid of the application on a Mac device. The first step is to close BlueStacks by right-clicking its icon on the Dock and then turning it off. Make sure that all active processes associated with the application have been closed by going to the Activity Monitor available by opening the Go menu and then going to 'Utility.' The next step is to open your 'Applications' folder via Finder. Locate the BlueStacks icon and either right-click it and select 'Move to Trash' or drag it to the Trash manually. Do not forget to empty the Trash.

Unfortunately, some leftover files might still be present. Users will have to check and delete any such file manually. To do so, launch the Finder application, select 'Go,' and then, 'Go to Folder.' In the box that appears, type in /Library and push Enter or Return. In the search box in the new window, type BlueStacks and press the Library button. Go to each of the following locations and remove all files associated with BlueStacks:

/Library
/Library/Application Support
/Library/Preferences
/Library/LaunchAgents
/Library/LaunchDaemons
/Library/PreferencePanes
/Library/StartupItems

This should have removed the application from your Mac system completely.

The easiest way to get rid of BlueStacks on a Windows 10 computer is to use the official BSTCleaner_All file available from the official website. Before you execute the cleaner, however, you must delete all of the files contained in the Temp folder. First, press the Windows button + R on your keyboard. In the Run tab that opens, type in %temp% and click on OK. Select all of the files and folders in the location that opens and delete them.

You can proceed to start the official BlueStacks cleaner. Follow the instructions until the uninstallation process has finished.
