How to Fix Adobe Premiere Slow Rendering Issues

Adobe Premiere is one of the most widely used video editing and rendering software suites in the world, and rightfully so. The product offers a robust yet relatively easy-to-use set of features. Video rendering, however, is a notoriously resource-intensive process that could take an exorbitant amount of time if run on low-spec systems. To improve the video rendering times, users should start with the hardware components of their computer.

Make sure that your CPU and GPU meet recommended requirements for the specific video format you are rendering. Furthermore, having adequate RAM is another important factor that could affect video rendering times. The speed at which data is written/read on your hard disc also contributes to the required time. For the best possible performance, it is recommended to use an SSD (Solid State Drive), which offers performance many times faster than that of traditional HDDs.

On the software side of things, there are a couple of options within Adobe Premiere Pro that could reduce rendering times. Start by turning on GPU acceleration when exporting data. The option is usually found by going to 'Project Settings' and then opening the 'General' tab.
You might also want to consider enabling Smart Rendering as it allows for a 20 times faster export of files. The improvement is achieved by using the preview files to assist with the export.
