How to Connect AirPods to a Computer

AirPods are one the most popular wireless earbuds in the world. Although they are manufactured by Apple and designed to work the best with the other products in the Apple ecosystem, AirPods can be used with most Bluetooth-compatible devices, including PC systems.

The first step of the process is to make sure that Bluetooth is enabled on your PC. Open the Settings menu by right-clicking the Start menu button and choosing 'Settings' from the available options. Go to 'Devices.' Click on 'Bluetooth & other devices' on the left pane of the window. Make sure that the toggle for 'Bluetooth' is set to 'On' and then click on 'Add Bluetooth or other devices.' In the new window, select 'Bluetooth.'

Now, take your AirPods, put them in their case, and open the lid. Press the button on the back of the case and keep it pressed until the status light located between the two AirPods begins pulsing white. This should have resulted in the AirPods showing up in the 'Add a device' window on the PC. Finish the process by clicking the button to pair and connect the device.
