How to Clear the Spotify Cache

Spotify is among the most widely used music-streaming platforms. To optimize the performance of its client, Spotify stores certain temporary files on the device's hard disk. These files facilitate the immediate start of the selected music and reduce any potential interruptions. Premium users can also choose to download music onto their device that can then be accessed even if the device is offline. Users who are running low on available disk space or are encountering issues with Spotify's performance may wish to clear the application's cache.

On Desktop computers, open Spotify, click the node symbol in the top-right corner of the window, and select 'Settings.' Now, scroll down until you have reached the 'SHOW ADVANCED SETTINGS' button and click on it. Scroll down again and look for 'Offline songs storage.' This is the place where Spotify saves its cache files. All that is left is to navigate to the listed location and delete all files contained inside the folder.
