WiniSoft Description

WiniSoft is a family of rogueware, which covers numerous counterfeit security programs. Like most rogue security tools, security applications that come from the WiniSoft malware family are designed to cheat computer users by persuading them to purchase fake anti-virus software. WiniSoft applications are disguised as real security programs but are actually designed to display false warning messages and to trick the victim into believing that their PCs are severely corrupted with various malware. ESG malware analysts recommend not to pay for any anti-spyware applications in the WiniSoft rogue family. WiniSoft programs have no capability of protecting computer systems from malware and can even damage affected PCs.
