Vertech is an adware extension that may be compatible with Google Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer. When this software is installed, Vertech may alter the Web browser's behavior by forcing it to display advertisements, pop-ups and other marketing content that may often be labeled as 'Ads by Vertech'. If these ads bother you while you browse the Web, then it is almost certain that you have somehow authorized the installation of Vertech on your computer. This may sound surprising, but you are neither the first nor will you be the last user to install adware on your computer unknowingly. Adware like Vertech may rely on software bundles to help it reach as many users as possible, and there's a significant chance that the Vertech adware got on your computer via a low-quality software bundle you recently downloaded. Software bundles that contain adware or other dubious software also may use misleading installation instructions or provide users with confusing information whose purpose is to trick them into installing Vertech or other 3rd-party software on their computers.
Unfortunately, Vertech may not just insert marketing content in all Web pages you open – it also may run in the background and collect information about your IP address, search queries, frequently visited pages, shopping habits, and other Web browser usage data that may be used to improve the quality and relevance of the Vertech's advertisements. This is a major privacy breach, and you must make sure to remove all extensions that exhibit behavior similar to Vertech quickly. The best way to solve the security concerns that Vertech may cause, as well as to get rid of the 'Ads by Vertech' is to scan and clean your computer with an up-to-date anti-malware software suite.
