Trojan.Boaxxe.C is a threat that is used to download and run highly questionable executable files, some of which may possess harmful codes. This threat relies on exploits for Internet Explorer in order to infect the system. Trojan.Boaxxe.C comes in the form of a Browser Helper Object (BHO), which is a .dll file that works as an extension for the Web client of Microsoft. The threat doesn't enter directly but relies on the help of a Trojan dropper. The harmful tool that downloads Trojan.Boaxxe.C may travel across the cyberspace hidden in email attachments or fake software updates. You should always be careful with your online actions to prevent the infection. It is advisable to download programs solely from the official pages and ignore all emails from unknown senders.

Trojan.Boaxxe.C may not cause direct adverse consequences to the compromised systems. Instead, it allows its operators to upload additional types of threats of their choice, which would let them fulfill various specific operations. The entire process happens with the help of Command and Control (C&C) servers. The Trojan connects the infected system with these servers automatically. Unfortunately, the connection may remain unnoticed by the victim. Only if the incoming and outgoing transfer of information is really intensive, the user may be able to detect a drop in the Internet speed. Some of the domains that the compromised machine would be forced to reach are irprops.com and ipxwan.com. Once Trojan.Boaxxe.C breaches the security of the PC, the results may be detrimental because the hackers may load information-collecting parasites. If you think that this threat may be working in the background right now, you should carry out an in-depth scan with reputable security software immediately to check for its presence and delete it if you are right.
