Smart Defragmenter Description
Smart Defragmenter is a rogue computer defragmenter and optimization application. Smart Defragmenter is secretly installed onto a machine by sneaky Trojans and will create a start-up registry entry to ensure that it loads each time the system is started up. When inside a PC, Smart Defragmenter will disable certain executable files and simulate a scan for the hard drives and memory. The scan will report the detection of numerous system errors and then advise the victim to purchase the full version of Smart Defragmenter in order to fix the errors. The error alerts displayed by Smart Defragmenter are fake and users should never purchase this rogue application.
