The Screen Dream Toolbar software is a product by Mindspark Interactive Network, Inc. that is distributed to PC users via free software packages. The Screen Dream Toolbar software is published as a free program that is marketed to provide users with access to digital content by Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, and trailers for the latest titles from Hollywood. The Screen Dream Toolbar is available to Google Chrome users, and the program is designed to make alterations to the browser's new tab settings. The Screen Dream Toolbar is known to use a customized version of hxxp://hp.myway[.]com/myway/index.html that is powered by MyWay, which is a proprietary search engine developed by Mindspark. The customized new tab by Screen Dream is reported to make browser redirects to hxxps://int.search.myway.com and feature links to third party services on Netflix.com/en/originals, Hulu.com/movies, Imdb.com and Primevideo.com.
The Screen Dream Toolbar does not feature news feeds or provide access to exclusive content on video platforms - all it does is make your new tab load hxxp://hp.myway[.]com/myway and display links to non-affiliated services. Computer security researchers warn that Mindspark is using the Screen Dream Toolbar to collect non-personally identifiable data like your Internet history, search terms and bookmarks collection. Marketing companies process the raw data and use it to facilitate behavioral marketing on the sites you visit most frequently.
