Savepath Deals is an adware infection that is frequently tied with freeware downloads. Although many freeware programs do give computer users ample warning that Savepath Deals will be installed, in some cases it is not entirely clear, or the computer user may overlook the option to opt out of installing this adware component. These types of components are commonly known as PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs) and are not considered as severe malware threats. Although they allow freeware creators to monetize their software and create new programs, these PUPs often cause various unwanted symptoms or even use tactics more commonly associated with malware infections. In many cases, installing Savepath Deals and other adware is not worth the supposed functionality gained from the freeware application, especially because there are often many advertisement-free low-cost or even free alternatives to most popular freeware applications.

Savepath Deals Coerces Your Browser to Display Annoying Pop-Ups Among Other Things

Once Savepath Deals is installed on the affected computer, Savepath Deals displays advertisements, inserts affiliate links into your search results and may cause your Web browser to display pop-up advertisements. Savepath Deals also interferes with your Web browser when visiting a particular website from a long list of domains. Savepath Deals also changes your Web browser's default search engine and homepage to kwiblesearch.com. Because of these and other symptoms, ESG security analysts strongly advise removing Savepath Deals from your Web browser and instead using a reliable anti-malware program to scan your computer. ESG security analysts recommend finding alternate versions of your freeware software that do not require you to download and install Savepath Deals on your computer.

Protecting Your Computer from Savepath Deals

To protect yourself from Savepath Deals and similar PUPs, read all license agreements and installation dialogs carefully when installing new software on your computer. Many installers allow you to opt out of installing Savepath Deals or use custom installation to monitor all components included in the installation of a new program. It is generally a good idea to avoid installing toolbars, browser extensions, adware or other components not directly related to your software. This is because of the fact that they may cause your Web browser and computer to perform poorly apart from the unwanted symptoms mentioned above.
