The RevJet plugin is classified by security analysts as adware because it pushes numerous marketing materials in the web browser that may slow it down and prevent the user from comfortable online experience. Additionally, the RevJet adware uses web beacons and tracking cookies to determine what type of ads the user may be attracted to.
