PUP.WpManager, also known as WPM or Video Performer Manager, is a potentially unwanted program (PUP), which may be downloaded from the Web when a PC user downloads free software. PUP.WpManager may result in a variety of issues when it is downloaded and installed on the PC. The PC user may agree to download PUP.WpManager when he is downloading other freeware, or he may download PUP.WpManager inadvertently by not being careful enough with the installation process. Once the PC user downloads any free program from the Web and does not follow the download agreement, he may not know what other potentially unwanted programs may come packaged with the certain program he is downloading. Once downloaded and installed, PUP.WpManager may execute a number of background processes that slow down the computer. PUP.WpManager may show disturbing pop-up ads on the desktop of the computer system.
