ProtectSoldier or Protect Soldier, is a variant of the FakeSmoke family of rogue anti-spyware applications. ProtectSoldier can be very deceiving in the way that it will display misleading popups after installation. In addition, ProtectSoldier is known to initiate system scans for parasites only to return several unidentified or bogus results.ProtectSoldier is not a trusted security application because it is not able to detect and remove parasites as it claims to. If left installed, ProtectSoldier could damage or corrupt system registry entries causing the computer to drastically slow down or become unstable.
