The ads by Parental Control on pages you visit are associated with an adware under the name of Parental Control. The Parental Control adware is promoted as a parental filter you can install on computers your kids have access to. You may encounter the Parental Control adware listed under the 'Advanced' and 'Custom' options of free software bundles. The developers of the Parental Control adware have a site where their product is supposed to block 'fishing sites' as opposed to phishing sites and block adult content. Slogans like 'Be sure web surfing protected!' and 'Keep you safety everywhere' should make users doubt the literacy of those behind the Parental Control adware and their skills as programmers.
However, the Parental Control adware performs quite well at its core function to present unsolicited advertisements on your screen. The Parental Control adware behaves like the Jointheshop and the 5starCoupon adware. Computer security researchers reveal that the Parental Control may block adult-rated content from companies that are not funding its development and suppress advertisements from unaffiliated networks. The ads by Parental Control may take the place of legitimate commercials on your favorite pages. The Parental Control may show an overlay on online shopping sites like Amazon and eBay to provide deals, coupons, and recommended offers from its sponsors. When you load search engines like Google, Bing, and Yahoo, the Parental Control adware may record your input and determine what search-related promotional offers to display on the results page. The Parental Control adware may customize video commercials on YouTube, and you may find banners with the slogan 'Powered by Parental Control' on the sites you spend the most time on.
Researchers do not recommend users to tolerate the activities of the Parental Control adware because it is not a legitimate Web filtering service and may load unsafe links. Adware such as Parental Control may reroute users to phishing pages and display misleading notifications while you surf the Internet. If you are infected with the Parental Control adware, it may affect Google Chrome, Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. You can remove the Parental Control adware and related files with the assistance of a credible anti-malware scanner.
