Web surfers that like the Metro design that was introduced in Windows 8 may be interested to know that there is an adware named MetroConcept that is designed to cover your browser surface with tiles loaded with commercials. The MetroConcept adware may arrive on your computer as an additional component of a free application installer that was listed under the 'Custom' or 'Advanced' option. Along with ad-tiles, the MetroConcept adware may use banners and pop-up windows to bring promotions to your attention. Needless to say, the MetroConcept adware may obstruct your browsing activities and load video ads while you engage in the content on YouTube, Vimeo, and Dailymotion. Security analysts add that the MetroConcept adware may suggest users to install rogue applications like Windows Processes Organizer and WolfRam AntiVirus that can expose your system to cyber threats. The MetroConcept adware may use a browser plugin and an add-on to work with Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Mozilla Firefox and show advertisements. Moreover, the MetroConcept adware may use tracking cookies, DOM storage data and read your browsing history to display offers related to your online activities. The MetroConcept adware may replace the sponsored links on Google and Bing with links to compromised websites where your cyber security could be at risk. Additionally, the MetroConcept adware may add a registry key in Windows to auto-start with your OS and slow down your system. Users infected with the MetroConcept adware may want to use a reliable anti-malware tool to remove adware and secure their data.
